Sending goods across borders is an important part of today’s global economy. Whether you’re a business or an individual, having the right product information is essential for smooth international shipping. This is particularly important with the recent changes in shipping to the United States.

This guide will walk you through the required details and how to add them to your products in 247.

Required International Details

To ship products internationally through 247, each product must include:

  • Customs Value – The actual price of the goods (what you sell them for)

  • Country of Manufacture – Where the product was made

  • Product Description – A clear name/description of the goods

  • Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Code – A classification code used by customs

247 does not assign or advise on tariff codes. Please contact your supplier or manufacturer to confirm the correct code for your products.

Please note that to ship to the United States, Customs Border Patrol (CBP) requires the country of origin to be marked on each individual product shipped.

How to Add International Details in 247

  1. Go to your Products page.

  2. Click on the product you want to ship internationally & click through to the product listing.

  3. Enter the required details (Customs Value, Country of Manufacture, HTS Code, and Description).

You must also enter a Customs Value for each product.

Example:
If you ship 10 shirts at $25 USD each, the customs value is $250 USD.

International Detail Definitions

Customs Value
The total value of the product(s) being shipped, based on the selling price on your invoice. Used by customs to assess duties and taxes.

HTS Code (Harmonized Tariff Schedule)
An international classification code used to identify products during import/export. Each product type has its own code. You can search for HTS codes here. Contact your supplier if you are unsure which code to use.

Country of Manufacture (COO)
The country where the product was made. Enter this using the standard two-letter country code (e.g., China = CN, United States = US).
